Silence

Pope Leo talked about Lent:  “Let us create space for silence by turning off televisions, radios and cell phones for a while. Let us meditate on the Word of God, approach the Sacraments, and listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit who speaks to us in our heart. Let us also listen to one another — in our families, workplaces and communities.”

Let’s TALK about silence!…. We will talk about how to bring more silence into our daily lives. We will share some prayer experiences that focus on silence. We can talk about why we are wanting more silence – because in fact humanity is in a liminal time, awaiting changes how we relate with one another and with our Mother Earth, in deeper compassion and profound hope.

Jesus went off alone to pray in silence. St. Francis went off alone to pray in silence…. What about me???

Saturday March 14. 10am until 2pm. Lunch included…. You can come early and/or stay later to enjoy the prayerfulness of our grounds….
