At San Damiano Retreat, our peaceful sanctuary thrives thanks to the dedicated service of volunteers who share their time and talents. Becoming a volunteer allows you to connect with our welcoming community while supporting our mission of providing spiritual renewal in the Franciscan tradition.

Our beautiful 55-acre retreat center offers many meaningful ways to serve. Whether you have a few hours to spare or can commit to a regular schedule, your contribution makes a significant difference in maintaining our oasis of peace.

Volunteer Opportunities

We welcome helping hands in various areas:

• Gift Shop – Help visitors find spiritual resources and mementos
• Skilled Trades – Share your expertise in electrical, plumbing, masonry, or woodworking
• Graphic Design or Digital Marketing – Create needs to help people learn about San Damiano
• General Maintenance – Assist with repairs and upkeep of our facilities
• Landscaping & Gardening – Help tend our beautiful grounds (weekly commitment for gardening)
• Creative Services – Contribute your talents in graphic design, photography, or videography
• Administrative Support – Assist with data entry and office tasks
• Hospitality – Serve food during retreats and events
• Music Ministry – Share your musical gifts during special services
• Event Support – Help with our annual Fall Fundraiser
