About the Event
Every year on the first Saturday in May thousands of people around the world participate in World Labyrinth Day. Here at San Damiano, we are hosting a series of community walks to celebrate this day on Saturday, May 4th, 2024. Originally started by The World Labyrinth Society and Verditas, World Labyrinth day invites the world to participate in a moving meditation for world peace.
Whether you are new to walking a labyrinth, or a seasoned walker, this is a great opportunity to experience the peace and beauty of the labyrinth. Each walk will be done in groups, and you’ll be introduced and welcomed to the walk by advanced labyrinth facilitator, Paula Jenkins.
We are offering 4 different times to walk our beautiful 11 circuit labyrinth in our garden: You’ll meet outside, at our labyrinth at your designated time. Included in each walk is a brief introduction, some thoughts on peace for the world and your own heart as inspired by Saint Francis, and journaling opportunity to close.
