About the Event
Take a deeper look into the women of scripture, spirituality, saints, mystics, and reflect on how these women live YOUR life. We will explore various women in our faith life, look at their history, their personal stories, beliefs, strengths, how they challenged the times they were in and relate this to our Franciscan charism. This series offers introspection, group dynamics, reflection, and the process of gaining new knowledge through shared experiences.
June 12 St Clare of Assisi Our Franciscan sisters and the beginning of
June 26 St Agnes of Assisi women in the Franciscan Order.
July 10 Mystics Rebels and renegades of their time, they
July 24 Julian of Norwich helped shape Christianity.
Aug 14 Our Lady of Guadalupe Our sisters in culture. How they shaped
Aug 28 Kateri Tekakwitha our beliefs and attitudes.
Sept 11 St Elizabeth Ann Seton Women of education. Both born in the

Jan Stagner
Jan has worked in religious studies for over 30 years. She has taught religious education to all ages of people throughout those years.
Jan attended the Franciscan school of Theology where she earned two master degrees: Theology and Multi-Cultural Church. She enjoys all walks of the spiritual life, both to teach and to learn.
Jan has lived in the bay area all of her life. She is passionate about her children, all animals, nature, cooking, and taking long walks with her animals and friends.
