About the Event
Beginning with the Canticle of Creatures, composed by St. Francis of Assisi, this day of reflection will briefly consider the origins of the Franciscan movement in the 12th century then move to a focus on the ways in which the tradition has evolved during the past 800 years to contemporary life in the 21st century. Our time together will include opportunities for encounters with nature, prayer, reflection, journaling, and shared insights, as well asking and inviting thoughtful questions regarding the challenges of living and acting in a simple lifestyle that embraces gratitude, courtesy, respect, and kinship with all people and all creation.
