About the Event
Spend the weekend in silence or near silence as you set aside work and outside stimulation to listen for how God is speaking to you beneath all the noise of your everyday life. Give yourself the gift of time to re-connect with God and receive the graces God wants to give.
You have options to come on Thursday evening or Friday evening. There will be introductory sessions whichever evening you come. After that, we’ll be in silence until Sunday afternoon, not speaking, but being in the company of others as much or as little as you’d like on the retreat grounds. The opening sessions will give tips, suggestions, and resources for how to structure your time and describe some typical patterns that happen on silent retreats. Each day will include options for several brief contemplative prayer services, individual spiritual direction sessions, and mass. You can choose which and how many you would like to attend.
You’ll have long periods of time to spend as you wish, praying, journaling, reflecting on scripture, reading, knitting, making art, napping, hiking, walking the labyrinth, or anything else that helps you to settle into yourself to listen to your heart. Mass will be available on Saturday and Sunday. We’ll break the silence Sunday to share the surprises and graces of the retreat.
Prayer prompts and suggestions for scripture reading will be available, as well as a lending library of spiritual books and art supplies.
Here’s two options:
Thursday evening, April 10 to Sunday, April 13, 2025 and cost for private room $490 and shared room $460.
Friday evening, April 11 to Sunday, April 13, 2025, cost for private room $380 and shared room $350.
