About the Event

Each year the International Day of Peace is observed around the world on September 21. The United Nations General Assembly has declared this as a day devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace, through observing 24 hours of non-violence and cease-fire. Come join us for a weekend retreat the last weekend of August in preparation as Peace-keepers. We will celebrate 45 hours together in an atmosphere of non-violence. And we will reflect about the importance of the peaceful “cease-fires” we need for our Self, our family and friends, our community circles, our nation, and our world. Brother Mark will blend Creation-Centered Spirituality, 12-Step spirituality, and Franciscan values – through Scripture, art, silence, dialogue, contemplation, and relaxation.

Registration begins at 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm.
7:00 pm – Dinner.
8:00 pm – First Session. And concludes with lunch on Sunday.

All bedrooms are non-smoking. Please call Kateri at 925-785-9850 if you prefer making your reservation by phone. Thank you.
