About the Presenter(s)

Margaret Riley

Margaret R will be co facilitating with other women in different 12 Step programs for Women’s 12 recovery retreat. Our hope is to journey with other women as we share our experience, strength, and HOPE with each other. Margaret has been a part of AA since 1993. And her new sobriety date is February 27 of 2014. As well she has been part of Al-anon and CODA. No doubt the 12-step program has been an anchor and grounding force for many 24 hours days. So look forward to sharing this weekend with you all.

Jo Schneider

Jo Schneider, Overeaters Anonymous, 100 pounder, has been a member of OA for nearly 22 years, maintaining over 160 lb. weight loss since coming into OA.  An active member, she is committed to the steps and traditions, sponsors five members, and has explored the topic of obesity, leading a workshop entitled Why Weight? to support others in reflecting on the reasons their bodies hold on to weight.  She is employed with the Oakland Unified School District (formerly as an Adult Education teacher) and now as an Employee Development, Recognition and Retention Specialist in the Talent Division, which is a fancy name for HR!

Paula Jenkins

Paula Jenkins is a Veriditas trained labyrinth facilitator, certified life coach, and holds a Master of Arts in Religion from Yale Divinity School. For many years, she led the young adult team at San Damiano. She is the author of Jump Start Your Joy: Heart-Centered Ways to Find Joy in the Messy Middle, and the host of Jump Start Your Joy, a podcast that looks at how people choose joy in their lives. She is passionate about the labyrinth and sharing it with others as a spiritual and meditative tool.
