About the Event

The movie “The Nativity Story” captures the political intrigue, danger and heart-rending events that the biblical texts, archeology and historical records tell us was the truth of the epic circumstances around Jesus’ birth.  This Advent reflection retreat will draw upon this movie to delve into what Christians believe to be the truth of God’s incarnation and entry into creation.  The group will meet for 4 Thursdays via Zoom.  Walt Sears, a long-time Catholic catechist and Bible study instructor is our facilitator.

“The Nativity” is available to view for free through Kanopy if your local library subscribes to this video streaming service.  Check https://www.kanopy.com/en/signup/find/publiclibrary

The movie is also available through a variety of streaming services for a nominal fee:
