Holy Triduum Retreat

Holy Triduum Retreat including:
-Thursday Mass of the Lord’s Supper
-Good Friday of the Lord’s Passion
-Saturday Easter Vigil
-Concludes with Easter Sunday brunch

Check-in on Thursday begins at 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
Optional Reconciliation Service at 4:00 pm.
Dinner is served at 7:00 PM.
Holy Thursday Liturgy in the Chapel at 8:15 PM.

The Holy Triduum will concludes with Easter Sunday brunch at 10:00 AM and departure after brunch.

Cancellation policy
Overnight or Multi-day/weekend retreats: $50 fee. Day Retreat: $20. Fees may be applied to future retreats. The fees may be waived in event of extenuating circumstances. Contact Kateri at 925-837-9141 x315.

About the Event

Experience the Holy Triduum (Holy Thursday evening, Good Friday & Saturday’s Easter Vigil) as one continuous journey ending in Christ’s triumphant resurrection. The retreat begins on Holy Thursday and concludes with brunch on Easter Sunday.

Option to arrive here on Wednesday, April 5: $140 per person, and included dinner and breakfast and lunch on Thursday, April 6.

About the Presenter(s)

Fr. Rusty Shaughnessy, OFM and San Damiano Staff

Fr. Rusty Shaughnessy, OFM earned his MA in Theology at St. Mary’s Seminary in Baltimore, MD. His Franciscan ministry has brought him to San Damiano twice, first as a retreat master for 7 years and now as Guardian. Fr. Rusty is well known for his humor, energy and honesty when sharing personal stories.

Laura Woodworth-Gibson and Jim Gibson (Musician)

Laura Woodworth-Gibson has been a Cantor and Music Director at Mission San Luis Rey Parish since 2011, and a frequent contributor at San Damiano since 2016. She has been involved in liturgical music since 1975, serving in parishes in California and Tennessee She is a graduate of Aquinas College in Nashville, TN.

Jim Gibson has been a liturgical guitarist at Mission San Luis Rey Parish since 2011, and a frequent contributor at San Damiano since 2016. A professional guitarist for 50 years, Jim has played throughout the US and Europe. Jim attended Santa Monica City College.
