The New Year’s holiday is often associated with parties, parades, football, and fireworks. How about taking time here at San Damiano Retreat to celebrate the New Year’s within an atmosphere of quiet and spiritual renewal; no alcohol; even getting to bed before midnight!
This year’s retreat title is “Let Me Bring Hope.” These words are found in the Prayer of St. Francis. We all need a little more Hope right now!…. We will focus on four main themes:
This retreat will provide you opportunities for shared prayer, group reflection, plenty of times of quiet, and good food; we will offer one 12-Step meeting and a Catholic Mass — both open to all participants.
Presentations will center around 12-Step spirituality, along with glimpses of Franciscan values and a respect for your faith tradition. The days are intended to be gentle and reflective. So come treat your Self to a retreat!
This retreat is purposely open to all faith traditions. And you do not have to be a member of a 12-Step group to attend.
We will begin Wednesday December 30th at 5:00pm, followed by dinner at 6:00pm. And the retreat concludes with lunch on Friday January 1st.
Check-in on Wednesday, December 30 is from 3:00 PM – 4:30 PM. The program will start at 5:00 pm in your meeting room. Dinner is served at 6:00 PM. The retreat will end with a festive lunch at noon on Friday, January 1, 2027 and departure after lunch at least by 1:00 pm the latest.
