About the Event

Immerse yourself in the sacred journey of Holy Week through this contemplative Triduum retreat at the serene San Damiano Retreat Center. Guided by Franciscan tradition, this transformative experience invites Christians of all ages to deepen their connection with the Passion and Resurrection of Christ—the cornerstone of our faith.

The retreat offers a thoughtfully designed schedule that balances communal worship, silent reflection, and personal spiritual growth. Beginning with Holy Thursday’s foot washing ceremony and continuing through Good Friday’s day of silence and meditation on Christ’s last words, participants will explore themes of forgiveness and surrender through the Franciscan lens.

Holy Saturday creates space for the “in-between”—teaching us how to be present when answers aren’t clear. The journey culminates in the joy of the Easter Vigil and Easter Sunday celebration, sending participants forth with renewed purpose.

Throughout the retreat, you’ll have opportunities for:

– Meaningful liturgical celebrations marking each day of the Triduum

– Personal spiritual direction and reconciliation

– Guided reflections on forgiveness, surrender, and transformation

– Community meals (including special Holy Thursday lamb dinner and Easter brunch)

– Stations of the Cross in the beautiful oak grove

– Taizé prayer experiences

Join us for this powerful Holy Week journey that will equip you to carry the transformative message of Christ’s resurrection into your daily life with practical wisdom and renewed spirit.

*Space is limited—register today to secure your place in this life-changing retreat experience.*

The retreat will be led by: Fr. Albert Haase, OFM, Dr. Michael Cunningham, OFS, Margaret Riley and San Damiano Team, vocalist Laura Woodworth-Gibson.
