“The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away. Blessed be the Name of the Lord.” Job 1:21(KJV).
This often quoted and misquoted verse epitomizes what most people remember about the book of Job — an awful story of hardship, loss and affliction. But there is so much more to this OT book!
First, it is wisdom literature, and as such it has much to say about God, our relationship with God and the human condition in the 21st century. That’s right. It addresses life today… right here…in the United States! Secondly, it addresses our ability to know God and the nature of the God we worship as postmodern, Roman Catholic, Christians today.
Please register soon to ensure that you will have the text that accompanies this study. The price is included in your registration fee. When registering — please indicte if you would like to pickup the book at San Damiano’s Gift Shop or if you would like to mailed directly to you.
***Please call or text Kateri at 925-785-9850 if you prefer to register by phone. Thank you!
