Jan is a graduate from the Franciscan School of Theology at the Graduate School of Theology in Berkeley, California. She holds two master degrees: Theological Studies, and Multi-Cultural Church. Jan has been teaching Religious Studies to children, teenagers, and adults for over nineteen years. Jan currently works at San Damiano Retreat Center, and at Saint Perpetua Parish in Lafayette. Jan is married with two adult children and lives in Walnut Creek with her husband and their cat and three dogs.

This Advent Season we will be taking the Four Sunday themes of Advent: HOPE, FAITH, JOY, and PEACE and talk about each theme, it’s meaning to us. We will talk about the spiritual woman mentioned in each week and reflect how that particular women exemplifies those virtues and qualities.
Tuesday Mornings: November 24 to December 15, 2020, from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm.
- Tuesday morning Week One, November 24: HOPE and Sister Helen Prejean.
- Tuesday morning Week Two, December 1: FAITH and Sister Josephine Bakhita.
- Tuesday morning, Week Three, December 8: JOY and Julian of Norwich.
- Tuesday morning, Week Four, December 15: PEACE and Mother Teresa.
