SORRY, WE ARE FULL AS OF 12/17/18
The month of December is a time when God’s light shines upon winter darkness. Our brothers and sisters in Butte County are experiencing tremendous hardships in the aftermath of the Camp Fire.
To make Christmas a bit brighter, San Damiano Retreat is opening up its doors. With help from our local community we can support 100 to 125 adults and children at no cost. We can house individuals or families from Dec. 20-26. They can arrive after 10 am on the 20th and depart by 10 am on the 26th. Their stay can be for 2, 3 or all 7 days. Three meals a day will be served buffet style in our dining room. We hope to house 20 to 25 families in 70 bedrooms with private bathrooms. Individuals and couples are also welcome. The rooms are simple with no TV’s or phones. Wi-Fi is available throughout the retreat center. Washing machines will be accessible.
Our Staff and their families will be here over the 7 days to help prepare meals and offer support to guests. We are planning fun activities that include movies, crafts, games, caroling and storytelling for the children.
Local Volunteers have offered to help our kitchen staff with meal preparation and service in our dining room. They are, also, hard at work asking local restaurants and community members for donations.
