The Franciscans and community of San Damiano invite you to experience Holy Week with us from Holy Thursday through to Easter Sunday (March 24-27). The Triduum days will be built around the traditional liturgies experienced in the parishes. However, being on retreat allows us to creatively pray deeper into the paschal mystery with time, word, music, food, reflection and silence. Sign up for this special retreat today here.
You can check out the latest and greatest happenings at San Damiano here.
Did you know that St. Francis of Assisi celebrated 3 Lenten periods throughout the year? San Damiano will only be observing one Lent, beginning on Ash Wednesday (February 10). We have many special retreats and prayer opportunities to help you prepare for Easter. Please consider making your Lenten journey with us.
For example, San Damiano will be hosting Stations of the Cross each Saturday during Lent at 9:15 AM – 9:45 AM followed by donuts and other refreshments (all free of charge). Each Saturday is a different theme:
Sat 2/13 Scriptural Stations
Sat 2/20 Traditional Stations
Sat 2/27 Sonnets of the Cross: The Via Dolorosa
Sat 3/5 Stations of the Cross from Pope Francis
Sat 3/12 Stations of the Cross with Mary
Sat 3/19 Contemporary Stations
A summary guide of other San Damiano Lenten activities is available here. You may sign up for all these events on our website or by giving us a call.
